Banana Moon Baddesley Ensor hosted an innovative 'Potty Party' event this past week, aimed at making the potty-training journey a fun and stress-free experience for both toddlers and parents.
The Potty Party provided a platform for parents to gather valuable information on potty training techniques, share experiences, and receive support from the nursery's expert childcare staff. The highlight of the event was the distribution of 'Potty Training Starter Kits' to each family, which included a colourful reward chart, vibrant stickers to mark progress, practical advice leaflets, and a pair of pants designed to encourage the little ones.
"We understand that potty training can be a challenging time for parents and children alike," said Joann, Nursery Manager. "Our goal with the Potty Party was to equip parents with the tools and knowledge they need to approach this milestone with confidence and a sense of community support."
“As my daughter personally is showing an interest, I’m experiencing the process and I know the stress that it can bring so I wanted to help elevate any worries that our parents and families might have as they also start the adventure!” said Amy, Mini Moon Senior Lead.
The nursery's initiative reflects its commitment to supporting families beyond the scope of daily childcare. The event also served as an opportunity for parents to connect with others on the same journey, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose.
Feedback from the attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the nursery for its proactive approach to a topic that can often be a source of anxiety for parents. "The bubble blowing worked and my child did a wee on the potty on Wednesday" shared one of the parents only 24 hours later.
