This is a fantastic achievement for our team and our children, who have worked hard to create a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment for learning and development. We are so proud of them!
Ofsted praised our staff for their caring and nurturing approach, as well as their effective planning and assessment of children's progress. They also highlighted our strong partnerships with parents and other professionals, and our commitment to promoting equality and diversity.
“As this is my first inspection as a Manager and ever in Ealy Years, I was very anxious for the day, the pressure that was on my shoulders since taking over in 2022 to maintain the care for the children, families and staff is always at the forefront of my mind. The day was filled with a mix of emotions and the tension was definitely in the air. I’m incredibly proud of all the team at Baddesley who pulled together and supported each other throughout the stressful day. At the end of the day when I was informed by the inspector that we had achieved a Good and listened to the feedback that was given I was overwhelmed by all the positive comments and could not stop crying with joy! I finally informed the team who also felt the happiness and pride that came with the result. It was like we had won the world cup. Everyone was hugging, crying and cheering. Definitely the highlight of my career so far.” – Joann, Nursery Manager
“It went really well. All the staff were really confident in their own abilities. There were lovely activities being carried out. Everyone was communicating and supporting each other. The entire day just flowed. As a SENCO, I’m really happy with what the inspectors said about me. I enjoyed that they listened to my passion and picked up on that passion too when I was answering their questions (it even says it in the report). I felt ready to show off the nursery and how brilliant we are as a team.” – Emily, Deputy Manager
“To begin with felt nervous but as the morning started to go on I started to feel confident Speaking with the team in the room they were asking questions and I was supporting so felt confident that we were all ready and confident for the inspection. I felt the joint observation that was completed by Jo and one of the inspectors went really well. I was happy with the feedback that was given and the advice that was given was informative too. When the inspector spoke to me about my role I was confident to answer and was able to provide detailed replies especially about my key children.” – Evie, Baby Room Leader
We asked the team to summaries the experience in one word. This was their response:
‘Over-the-moon, happy, relieved, proud, confident, overwhelmed, deserved, emotional, great!’
A lot of effort goes into everything that happens at Banana Moon Day Nursery Baddesley Ensor and it really is such a team effort. So a huge thank you from Management goes out to the team.
We would like to thank all of our parents and carers for their continued support and feedback, which helps us to improve our practice and provide the best possible care for your children. We are always looking for ways to enhance our service and offer new opportunities for learning and fun.
