A bittersweet day with a mixture of happy and sad tears.
Each year is doesn't get easier to say goodbye to our children here at Baddesley Ensor. Regardless of how long the children have been with us, some from day dot and others from later in the journey, the silence that they will leave is felt by us all.
When children first start their is so much anxiousness in the air. Will the make friends? How will they be without their primary carer? Will they settle quickly? By the time their journey with us is over, it is evident to see that they are all such kind, caring and confident individuals. As Key People we couldn't be prouder of the steps and achievements that the children make with in our Early Learning and Development Programme as well as over coming personal goals!
The beginning of their journey is a time of building trust, not only with the children but with parents and their extended families. It is a time of building a relationship together and creating a team around the child with one shared goal: creating a world of memories and inspiring a generation.
Through play, trust is built and relationships forged. We move through the years as a team, growing, learning and building the foundations the children will need for their next adventure.
We work closely with the schools in our area to ensure that a detailed handover is given in preparation for their transition. We reach out and make contact to organise visits and meetings to discuss each child. A passport to school is complete and a transitional formative report is generated to hand to the reception teacher.
As the 'academic year' draws to a close and we say our final goodbyes, our minds cannot help but wonder what will it be like next year?
